Cerrunos is usual depicted as an elf or half elf, usually dressed in a cloak of green leaves with a stags head helmet on his head. He is the Son of Gea, and it is she who made him Master of the Sacrificial Hunt. His is the life that is given in service of new life, his wisdom that the old must make way for the new.

Being one of the eldest Gods, his force is very Primordial, he protects his domains most jealously and whilst the Elves are his most beloved, the younger races have to tread with care when dealing with him. Not that he would turn away their devotions, his nature is just capacious at best. He is the patron of the wilderness dweller and hunter, a provider of food and shelter. However should any mortal try to take more than it requires & then his wrath is certain. As Master of the Wild Hunt, he is charged with the protection and continuance of the Land and Nature and pursues the souls of those who would seek to end that.

His aspects change with the seasons and follow the Isles concept of Birth, Death and Rebirth. In spring he is the young Son, child of Gea, embodiment of the budding, growing, world. In summer He is the The Hunter, vibrant, pulsing with life essence and the consort of the Wikka. In Winter, the dying time, the Horned God is seen most clearly. He is the sacrificed one, who, wounded unto death begins his journey to the Underworld, returning to the Earth from which he was born and where the seeds of light released from his decaying body will quicken Her womb with a new Sun once again, reborn in the new year.
